From hauler to processor
Built to Solve a Local Infrastructure Gap.
Green Circle Recycling is not a division of a national waste corporation. It is the evolution of a La Crosse family business that has served the Coulee Region since 1955, adapting from hauling to processing as recycling infrastructure became a regional necessity.
As recycling programs expanded, the region needed a local facility to process material close to where it was collected. Green Circle keeps recyclable commodities in the region longer, controls quality from intake through baling, and gives municipalities and commercial partners a local team to work with.

Collection
Harter's collects residential, municipal, and commercial recyclables across the Coulee Region with local route knowledge and CNG vehicles.
Processing
Green Circle Recycling receives material at 2800 Larson Street and sorts it through optical, robotic, bypass, and recirculating systems.
Commodity Sale
Sorted bales are prepared for mills, reclaimers, smelters, and broker partners that need consistent recovered commodities.

Western Wisconsin and southeastern Minnesota have historically shipped recyclables to larger markets farther away. Green Circle was built to be a regional solution, not a satellite of a national company.
Our focus on La Crosse County and surrounding communities means our technology investments, service commitments, and pricing models are designed around the scale and geography of this market.
